Default Chromium Picolinate on Carb Load?

Lyle,

Just wondering your thoughts on the use of Chromium Picolinate on carb load days when someone is on the Ultimate Diet. It's supposed to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism. I guess theoretically it would be helpful to use on carb load days for effective glycogen repletion and to put insulin to good use.

I've seen mixed reviews on it, what are your thoughts? Good, neutral, or bunk?

Default

in the empirical observations I've made in others, chromium picolinate appears to help diabetics control blood sugar better. (and for diabetics, UD carb loads aren't a good idea to begin with)

With that said, in the healthy people I've seen using it, it hasn't appeared to do anything more than a placebo effect. YMMV
